Opposition forces seize Masqan in Aleppo as ISIL tightens grip over Al-Bab

(Aleppo) Syrian opposition fighters managed to seize the town of Masqan, in Aleppo's countryside, on Tuesday morning, following rounds of fierce clashes that erupted last night with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), which resulted in the death of 20 ISIL militants, while several others were taken captive by rebels.

On the other hand, ISIL militants have solidified their grip over the entirety of the city of Al-Bab, in Aleppo's eastern countryside, following the withdrawal of the remaining opposition fighters. Furthermore, snipers belonging to the Islamic State were placed on tall buildings and in the perimeters of the mountain overlooking the city.
